[:(]

Hi y'all :)
I have very sensitive skin and for the last week or so Ive been coming out in very very itchy red blotch marks which are now extremely inflammed and infected thanks to constant stratching! The Dr thinks it could be bites, maybe from fleas

Re: Bites?
I've seen a couple of cases of sarcoptes in the past and i don't think its quite the same. Whatever they are they've started to clear up with a good dose of flucloxacillin. Hurrah!

Re: Bites? I'm quite lucky in that my Mum is a Pharmacist and is usually on hand to give me all the advice I need on meds when my skin flares up, but she's currently in Australia sunning herself, hence my post for help!

Yep, my chlorine allergy is an absolute nightmare sal! It usually isn't too bad under tapwater. I have to take an antihistamine about half an hour before I hop in the shower or bath or I come out looking like a beetroot, my skin starts to burn and begins to get extremely tight and dry. The Dr also has to prescribe me with a soap substitute (Dermol 500) because I'm also allergic to most soaps, and suffer from extremely dry skin all year round. Certain perfumes, deodorants and washing powders also bring me out in rashes, so i have to be extra careful with just about everything my skin comes in contact with.

..and don't get me started on what happens to my extra sensitive skin after I've handled a Shar pei hehe!

Re: Bites? My cretinous dr knows this but when l went to him at xmas covered in my allergy l think from being all around country with work etc and different washing powders he decided it could be fungal so gave me that and antihistimine.I used antihistamine and it cleared up, till this lot hit.

This is the same idot who insisted a few years back it was scabies despite my and vet insisting it wasnt, by time he sent me to specialist it was going she was furious at him as to late to treat and recognise and said if it happened again dont mess with what he doesnt know and send me straight away. Havent been as bad since though usually handle it myself.
The same idiot who couldn't tell what psoriasis was on my elbows. I had my dad at the skin specialist for his skin cancer and asked the same specialist what it was as dr said he didnt know she glanced at it and said then did a double take and said about wasnt l the one with the bad skin before about a year ago l admitted l was and she groaned and just nodded when l said who my idiot dr was. She gave me a script for cream.

Re: Bites? I have absolutely shocking skin as it is! I'm allergic to absolutely everything, from washing powder to chlorine! I have to take Loratadine before I shower the majority of the time anyway because I get dry patchy skin on my arms and face! It started getting worse a couple of months ago, as I was coming out the shower with bright red burning itchy skin, and when I contacted the water board re: quality of the water, turns out there was chlorine in the water. Grr!

Oh good luck with the presentation, I'm sure you'll look lovely

Re: Bites? Have Dactacort from other allergy at christmas l have been using just found it but can not decide if it is helping or not.

I couldn't put up with this for 2 years, it's so damn itchy! Sounds very similar to what you have, although they're not pin sized lumps so i don't think it's prickly heat either, they're quite large blotches, and sort of hard underneath. The Dr said it looks sort of like shingles, but with it not blistering he doesn't think it is this :/

I'm hoping it clears up pretty soon, I wanted to don a summer dress this afternoon and i couldn't hahahaha!

Vet looked and said a sort of folliculitis l have actually found sunlight has helped hit it the best clothes seem to irritate it more possibly as it lies on and rubs. Defiantly not bites though mine been going on l would say 2 months now.

One client had a biopsy and was told ... l forgot the name she used but can last up to 8mths-2years :-(
