i was in that position too! its awful! the lowest mark that i got in all was 81%! I still failed! the system is rubbish, my advice is aim for 100% in all tasks and know them inside out! you will pass..also talk through everything you do! x

Hey, Just want to pick some one's brain. I have to apply to take my forth attempt and have been told by college that I need to apply by the 2nd May. Surely I don't have to apply this early seeing as I can not take until December and have to create a revsion timetable etc... I haven't got my RCVS paperwork with me at work and was wondering if any body knew if this was true. Many Thanks, Emma x

I took Kalms to get me through my driving test and they worked wonders for me

I took 4 attempts on my driving practical lol so obviously not good with nerves in a practical situation so yeh might be worth speaking to see if theres anything I can take to help.

Hi, one of the girls I worked with suffered really bad nerves on her practical so she saw her doctor who gave her sedatives to help her through, and she passed that time. Not saying you should need sedatives to pass but might be worth speaking to someone about it? you could take them on a trial basis I think just to check they wouldn't completely knock you out. Might be worth considering, good luck whatever you decide

Its mad isn't it. I don't understand why I have to wait until december either. Think I will have to g ive it all serious thought before I make a decision.

il also add, in my previous fails, i got 100% in all tasks, (how can u fail with that percentage!!) but i had missed a grey area, so make sure you know what grey area to include.

i do know how you feel, i felt like giving up too, if i fail next wek thats 4 yrs of study and nothing at the end of it, but cross that bridge when it comes, all i can say i did was just practise practise, i borrowed one of my daughters lge soft toys and set up a mock x ray table etc at home and went thru all the tasks until i could do them in my sleep, get loads of tries at work too, if you have a quiet spell, ask one of the others u work with to go thru it with u too, just read over them until you know them backwards.when it came to the exam, i went in and pretended i was at work, being asked to do the set task by my vet, try to blank the examiners out of your head, breath, and take some bache remedy (rescue remedy) a week or so before the exam, you can do it, and you will be fine x

Thing is I fail different tasks each time & its all down to nerves.. I passed 5 out of the 8 key steps but failed by 4% as the percentage was so high that people achieved. Really not sure what to do. Going to have to give it alot of thought. I don't mind doing revision courses as I did that this time. Its just my nerves that get me.

yep, ive been there, took me 3 attempts to pass my practicals level 3 ,and have just taken paper 2, level 3 for my 4th and last attempt, awaiting results next thurs.to see if ive finally qualified, for my 4th attempt i had to wait and also had to get special permission from the rcvs before taking it , i also had to go on revision course and provide proof to them i was doing this and also had to set up a revision plan thru work for them too,all seemed a pain in the ***, but if you want this bloody qualification, thats what it takes, i did get very down thinking id never do it, i also suffered dreadfull nerves too, but itl be ok, you will do it , just get loads and loads of practise , good luck
