Sorry been a while since I was on here, Balens is who I am insured with for my physiotherapy, they cover me for anything (modality/technique) I have been taught on my course, so I am covered for my hydrotherapy as well as physiotherapy up to £3million. It doesn't matter where I work, how many places I work at etc. So I am can do both my hydro/physio in my main job at a SA hospital, do house visits and am also covered for my own business doing horses etc elsewhere. They did a block/group discount for us, not sure about other organisations. I am not however, covered for RVN stuff, but as I only doing this in the hospital (and rarely now) I am covered by my workplace insurance.

As an RVN you should have VDS cover will this not cover you?

thanks all I have found one, they do all sorts of complementary cover and student cover too. Its called Balens if anyone interested.

thanks- yes towergate was mentioned, I just wondered if anyone used any veterinary related ones. Just out of interest Sal, what comlimentary therapies are you into? Human or canine?

Maybe try pet business insurance, they do insurance for dog walkers, pet sitters etc so may do something?

dont know if you would come under a complimentary therapies insurer with it being canine? - but worth a try - my insurance for complimentary therapies is through a company called Towergate

you could also try going through a broker local to you, this can cost a bit more

Has the course provider not given you any indication of the best places to go for insurance?
