Hub got back from the parachute center last night. We were chatting and l said oh in view of postings on vet nurse l had better wish you a happy valentines day. He looked blankly at me and said that was yesterday.
Oh was it thought it was today l said with total lack of concern,. Now sod off it is your turn to make the coffee.

its just a racket really. i do like getting a card tho. i prefer husband getting me cards for xmas/birthday/anniversary than getting me a present if im honest.

I dont normally bother with Valentines day as it is my wedding anniversary on the 19th! However, I always buy mum flowers and also a rose for my brothers grave. I did get some beautiful flowers from my wee boys (made by mum of ourse) and a beautiful card Phillip made at school!!

i got a card which is fine for me, unlike my birthday last year when i got bugger all from husband! not impressed!

We don't do valentines day either, but he got me a card. Rest of the day was awful as we were moving furniture into storage :(

we have joint account too but have to secret squirrel money out!!!

we did have few years where we didn't bother as we said same as you it is own money but it was just getting a bit miserable so we decided we should make effort again, don't usually spend very much so was very surprised when I got my pressi but its nice to be spoiled, we both don't really spend on each other very often so it is nice when we do.

had lovely day. Was my birthday the day before too so both mornings I woke up to a card and present at the end of the bed!!! He wrote something very beautiful in my card too. I got a huge jewellery box which I have wanted one for years but I haven't really mentioned and I'd never seen one I liked but he found a gorgeous jasper conran one and its perfect, I'm well impressed!!! I feel bad I only got him some chocs and a t shirt!!!

Then we were meant to be going to his aunts for a dinner party with all his cousins (we all about sme age) but cancelled at last minute so we thought would not be able to get in anywhere, but ended up squeezing into a lovely tapas bar then off to pictures. Something we have not done for years since the arrival of ellie. All in all a lovely day.

We don't do pressies but my other half always manages to write the loveliest things in his cards at Chrstimas, birthdays etc and he surpassed himself yesteray with a really sweet one in my Valentine card. Unortunately he's not very weel at the moment but I have been promised a night of being spoilt rotton in lieu which I'm holding him to!
