The only thing worse than the actual being ill part, is the letting down work part of it!

It makes me feel awful. I was throwing up but got no sympathy as its caused by the antibiotics I started taking after my friends cat bit me at the weekend.

Had to clean my car when I got home cos I threw up on the way

Re: Sick!

Aw being ill sucks..but if your ill, your ill.

I would much rather cover a few hours shift for someone than be struck down with V+/D+.

stay at home, keep hydrated and get yourself better.

Try not to feel guilty, im sure your work understand..well they should!

Take care and get well soon!

I think that the lovely virus Norovirus is doing the rounds again at the moment, I am just recovering from it myself after catching after visiting a sick relative in hospital! I know that this particular virus is contagious for up to 72 hours after you start V+/D+, (according to the staff nurse at my relative's hosp) so it may be better to stay away from work so the other staff avoid it?

I know how you feel though, I took 3 days off worlk last week with it, and I do always feel guilty about taking time off sick, but to be honest I was so ill, I didn't think much about it, and I don't know how people manage to pull sickies, I think the guilt of doing so would actually make me ill!

Anyway, I hope you start to feel better and remember to drink lots of fluids!
