I will be leaving around about 21:00 to 22:00 l think. but only drive slowly. Possibly you will arrive 22:00? Go into Shaggys in the club house it should still be open tell them you are friends of mine assuming there is folks there and ask about the bunkhouse unless you are tenting it?

I would advise ringing Sian the day or so before for directions to get into bunk house and confirm it will be unlocked should be as folks use it. It isnt in the club house you have to have the control tower to your back and look over towards the caravans it is over there.

Re: Skydive

I won't be bringing Jack, he'd just get in the way! Would be nice to walk though. I'm planning on coming (with Jenny) the night before. Finish work at 4, will probably get to Jenny about 5. According to AA route finder journey is 3 and a half hours. Will obviously be more than that at that time of night, and with stops. Will that be too late to arrive at Langar?

Re: Skydive

If Jack is with you are you coming along on the walk Vicky?

Re: Skydive

Very much looking forward to meeting you all who are coming along and jumping, and can't wait to jump!

Re: Skydive

Anyone who wants to come along a supporters please do on the 16/17 April to http://www.bpslangar.co.uk/

I will be there in the early
hours of Friday night Saturday morning in the big white motorhome and off for a
walk around the airfield about 5am it takes about an hour to do the walk if
anyone wants to join me. After that l will be helping Milko tidy up doing bins
loo’s etc and probably barefoot unless really cold on the toosies.

There is a bunkhouse and it is a first come first serve basis don’t forget
to bring bedding and if you luck out there is B & B nearby or camping at the
airfield. They have a lovely 2 shower block (male/females) with very hot water,
if you want to get into the showers/loos please ask they will tell you the overnight code

Dogs are allowed but not onto the packing grass or into the club house and
please keep them on a lead at all times planes starting up and taxing can be
noisy and spook even calm dogs.

There is a canteen in the clubhouse run by Ann who does drinks, hot &
cold food and snacks and also drinks & snacks machines around. Shaggys bar
is open in the evening but NO alcohol is permitted from morning until the bar
flag is up.

Langar has lousy reception
for mobiles, the person you see gazing at their hand and walking aimlessly like
a drunk isn't they will be looking for a signal. There is wifi free and a couple
of laptops for you to get online and check mails, facebook etc

Finally please remember that even though jumping may be going on there is
guidelines for tandems and if they can they will get you up but it is not always
possible. Please tell your friends and family who come along the same so they do
not hassle the staff about when you are jumping.

Blue skies and safe roads look forward to meeting you on the 16/17th
april please come and support those that are jumping
