&lt;p&gt;We both went to doc and had been told we wash our hands to often in such good quality cleaning prod that we had stripped all the goodness from our skin and had got a dermitits awhich had got infected.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I got put on a course of antibs and given DIODERM cream ( i think it fuciderm for hunamds). It worked a treat.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I would sugg go ing to doc as if it anything like mine it very painfull.&amp;nbsp; I always keep a tube of this in stock and the min my hadns dry up even with good hand cream I use it and it clears up&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;for handwashing we use medichems nursing hands skin scrub (really kind to skin, but kills MRSA etc) and teguspt hand cream, it really is excellent for chemical dried skin. available from nvs and probably anyone that sell trigene.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Sorry Nick I didn&amp;#39;t intend on that sounding like an alternative to handwashing just a helping hand (excuse the pun) for those of us that have dry cracked skin due to washing&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I do wear gloves whenever possible but I understand that it&amp;#39;s hard to put them on for every occasion especially for the likes of phone-answering and emergency &amp;#39;can you just hold this dog&amp;#39; situations &lt;/p&gt;
