Send letters, lots of lettes. Volunteer and include a SAE envelope. Write to them all every few months to show how keen you are.

thanks for that. is it worth doing a mail shot with cvs to a lot of vet practices? wondering if they tend to recruit from within, or if they'd be willing to take on an outsider

Theres a few vacancies on the Vet Times website, also, jobisjob is good for finding jobs that are well hidden, just keep your search terms broad to things like 'veterinary' without specifying an area etc.

be prepared to send lots of CVs, thats all the advice I can think of, your already getting the veterinary world side down. Good luck!
