They got less as I got older but got worse again when I started taking the combined pill, and since I stopped taking it haven't had one migraine. I got really bad ones with one-sided weakness, difficulty talking and flashing lights, felt like throwing myself out the window on several occasions because of the pain.

Re: Migraine

I find that if I don't drink enough water especially when running around like a headless chicken I get a headache/migrane.

The other thing I found was when I was studying I got them also and it was eye strain. Knowing my doctor would tell me to get my eyes tested before being helpful I went to have them done. I had a very slight stigmatism not one they would normally say to have glasses for. They prescribed me some because of the headaches and it worked. Now I only get them if I don't wear my glasses for working on the computer and watching tv.

Re: Migraine

I use rizatriptan wafers when I have a really bad one - but most of the time use self hypnosis which works for me in all but the worst attacks

Re: Migraine

Hey

non functional for a few days and then mentally exhausted for another two days! Not the best.!!

Now have prescription meds which normally work within the hour, sometimes feel a bit of nausea

after taking them , but better than 3 to 4 days of feeling practically non functional!!

Re: Migraine
What symptoms are you having?
