I was just after some advice or suggestions... I've been nursing for rather a long time now and am getting increasingly itchy feet about what to move on to. Y'knoo, the money's not good and we're not particularly well backed when it comes

Re: Career advancement - help!

I would agree with the above, referral practice is a good pathway and you definately get to use your skills, if you would like to teach then why dont u look out for a position in a university referral practice the you can get involved with that also. If you want to do your diploma then this would also help because you would get a wide range of cases

Re: Career advancement - help!

There was a job advertised on here not long ago which was a teaching job at ProCo in Wigan, you could apply for that?

Otherwise have you thought about a change of practice maybe to one that lets you do more schedule 3? PDSA utilise nurses very well and the pay is better than most practices.

Or you could study for your diploma and/or try and get in to referral practice, the money is much better and you'd get to do alot more nursing
