I should know, 3 years of trying and nothing.

Also its your life, if the job is what you deep down want then go for it.

I know what its like to be uncertain (my life is full of uncertainty right now) but think about yourself and what you want. Going for an interview wouldnt hurt as then you'd get more information and an understanding of what it might be like to work there.

Re: What would you do?

Fuzzyduck - I thought of you as soon as I saw that job advertised but knew you would have seen it! If I was nearer, I'd go for one of those type of jobs but you're a good chunk of the journey nearer than me and you have the perfect background, plus I have a vague contact there and have heard a lot about the job before it came up so may be able to answer any questions you have if you want to pm me. I'd go for it, otherwise you'll always wonder and as someone who has been waiting for her dream job to come up for the past 4yrs, they don't come along very often. If you go for an interview and then decide the journey was too awful or you don't like the place, it's in your hands!

Re: What would you do?

I'd say stay where you are unless you're prepared to put off having babies for a couple of years. When pregnant, and afterwards, you want an employer to be as supportive as possible, including flexibility in returning to work. Your current employer is likely to be more supportive and flexible than a new one.

Re: What would you do?

do it do it! Im a big beleiver in things happening for a reason, good luck! I agree that maybe get established in the practice maybe before you get pregnant plus you dont want the stress of a new job on your case whilst you are trying for a bambino!

Re: What would you do?

Go for the job. If you love it, wait 6months before activley trying to get preggers. That way your gonna be established in the practice for at least a yr before you leave for maternity. It may be the best thing u do! Esp if its more money and want a little one.

BUT on the flip side - commuting can be he most tiring part of the day - so make sure it is the dream job you want by doing the trial day like vicky mentioned!

The hours at my current place would be tough being pregnant but the practice are really good with pregnant staff so i would be well accomodated for if i was to fall pregnant.

I just know that if i took a new job and fell pregnant quickly id feel so guilty, but i dont want to miss out on an amazing job if its going to take me years to get pregnant.
