There's bound to be more to it than trigger happy people. Shocking, but I bet it's to do with neglect on the farmers part.

If it was a simple task of transportation they could have used a lorry, so there must have been something wrong with them.

How many times are we asked to pts animals that are simply neglected? I'm sure it happens in the farming world too, but they use guns not euthatal.

bit gun happy dont you think 2 seperate shootings in the same area in about 6 months and these are ones that have made the paper what about others that might not have

I read something about apparently the farmer has history about poor welfare, however, I really don't see why they would do that even if it was the issue??!!

Will see if I can find the link. Personally.... I think its appalling, and should never have happened.

God how awful! Bet there is more going on then was reported.... Movement restrictions, notifiable disease etc???
