I need some help on what to do next!!
I have been having some problems with my neighbours since i moved in....To cut a long story short, They are Very Noisy!!
I have reported them to the Council, Which didnt go down very well as you

Re: Neighbours Dog Constantly Barks!!! End result will probably need to be the dog rehomed.

Re: Neighbours Dog Constantly Barks!!! I know sometimes they can have a more direct effect than the council. The ones around here are quite keen to sort out local problems. Hope you can get some help soon.

Re: Neighbours Dog Constantly Barks!!!
I have already had the RSPCA round to them, as they have rabbits in the garden, that were kept in horrible conditions, but that has now been sorted.

I've already Done a noise diary, and sent it to the council. They sent a letter back to say that they have let the neighbours no, (which is when she came round) and said if it doesnt get any better then they will take it further.

me and my partner have decided that its prob best if we move (again) i dont want the hassle,(they are not the friendliest of people) Also we are wanting a family after we get married in May. so that will be stressful enough without having to worry about them causing problems.

But we could get our revenge with a screaming child lol :)

:)

Re: Neighbours Dog Constantly Barks!!! I had a neighbour next to me who would leave the dog for 23 hours a day! , yes you read that right! This dog would seriously bark and bark all day and all night long. How a dog can bark like this one did i never know. Anyway cut long story short, we had this go on for weeks, ended up with sleep deprivation, phoning police in early hours, rspca, council etc etc. had to make log of every time it barked and how long. Any way because it was rented after attempts to find landlord failed, he paid visit to tenant as heard something not wright. After rspca made visits said someone is going into property and not left, not alot they could do.

Landlord knocked on my door, turned out not just one dog who i thought was there but two others locked in a room, emaciated etc etc. I then phoned rspca back and they turned up with vans and removed two of the dogs, tenant was shortly evicted.

believe me a horrid experience, i know whats its like to feel sleep deprieved

Re: Neighbours Dog Constantly Barks!!! Have you been recording the sound and has the council provided or installed equipment to do so? Is it a rented property either yours theirs or both. If you are in rented accomodation then your landlord has the responsibility to sort this, if your neighbours are in rented accom likewise. Are you keeping a log? (might seem a bit ott but I have been thro this myself and I know how councils will sweep this stuff under the carpet if you cannot back up your claims.) If there is anybody else affected by this you could try making a joint complaint HOWEVER beware if asking around for support as you may just antagonise your neighbour more if they hear of this

Not an easy option but have you considered moving - because even if the noise issue is resolved to your satisfaction you may then have to deal with hostile neighbours

Re: Neighbours Dog Constantly Barks!!! I have a labrador that does not bark but also have a colliecross who will bark at anything. The trick is to tire him out. In other words these people just need to exercise their dog and it will calm him down. I can imagine why it is barking if you are stuck in the same place all the time without any chance of escape. RSPCA won't take their dog away but they will give them a few pointers in regards to treating him fairly.

I don't get people who have animals and don't exercise them, its cruel and just not fair. Like I say I may be wrong but the RSPCA may be able to help, also obdience classes will help but if they have never trained him, it will be a slow process.

Re: Neighbours Dog Constantly Barks!!! I dont suppose that they happen to be hard of hearing or anything or else how could you put up with living with your own dog doing that? Is the noise loud enough for you to record? If you are on speaking terms with them perhaps you could play it back to them? but experience tells me that they may be abusive and slam the door in your face. I know the council often asks people to record nuisance noise and to keep a diary of events but it sounds as though its constant. Does the dog get taken out for walks at all because it does not sound as if this dog has been socialisedl and could do with someone to take it out regularly to desensitise it to everyday noises etc.but i dont suppose they would organise that either. Sorry not of much help but i do sympathise and we have screaming children at the back of us and i do mean screaming. They dont seem to know how to play either!

Re: Neighbours Dog Constantly Barks!!!
