I'm currently in my level 3 transitional yr at Telford & so far have been told that I should be able to finish the course there, (Practicals March '12), but a new intake for august this year is 'on hold'. I'm absolutely gutted that this course is under threat. Not just for the lecturers who'll lose their jobs but there are so many girls (& boys), doing the pre-vn course and various other animal care courses in the hope they can go on and do VN training there. So where are they going to go? From what I understand Napier uni have a yearly intake of around 25 students. Not much when you think how many people in Scotland try to get on this course. It' ridiculous!! Someone obviously thinks there is a greater need to fund the many various hairdressing or beauty therapy courses on offer at telford.

yeah i think napier is aorund the 30-35 mark. However Napier only offer the 4 year degree I believe and sadly that is just not for everyone! I also wish I went to Telford over Napier! Would maybe actually be doing something with my ife right now!

Cannot believe what effect this will have on anybody wanting to be a VN in Scotland! A little disheartening if this is scrapped! Which i imagine it will be to be honest
