Does anyone know if it will affect the Exotics course that they do? I was planning on taking the exam in Sept 2012 so hope they will still be doing it then.

Don't be disheartened!! There's a lot going on just now behind the scenes & I think Telford bigwigs will get a bit of shock when they realise just how important these courses are - cos its not just the full time course that's under threat, the block release, the pre vet nursing and the animal care course are all threatened too.

Keep signing and promoting the petition - Aimee Mathers who started will send anyone a paper copy to put in their surgery - get in touch with her thru Facebook. If you can't then PM me & I'll send one out.

yeah i think napier is aorund the 30-35 mark. However Napier only offer the 4 year degree I believe and sadly that is just not for everyone! I also wish I went to Telford over Napier! Would maybe actually be doing something with my ife right now!

Cannot believe what effect this will have on anybody wanting to be a VN in Scotland! A little disheartening if this is scrapped! Which i imagine it will be to be honest

I qualified with Telford back in the early days- absolutely loved my time there and would hate to think theres even a remote chance of it being axed.

I have just qualified from Telford. Really sad news. It's always had the best reputation. My thoughts are with all the wonderful lecturers. Hopefully those in charge will change their minds.

Napier have been offering training for the last 10 years so I don't think its got anything to do with that.

It will be a funding issue and its not just the full time veterinary nursing course, its all the veterinary course - the pre vet nursing, animal care etc

You need to write to the principal & assistant principal of Telford also - their names are Miles Dibsdall OBE & Julie McRan

As Loopylou711 said, places are few & far between and the loss of this excellent course will have a huge impact on qualified veterinary nurses in Scotland.

It will be because of Napier offering training. Sad really if it goes, theres so few places in Scotland aready to train if you want to be a VN!! I will sign it
