I had gone on lunch when they came in but i believe they asked where the first aid box was. I think she mainly wandered around alone and took the folder of evidence/sops we had done upstairs to read through.

thanks for your comments..... I have seen in other practices that each piece of equipment whether it be a kettle or an ultrasound machine has an Sop attached to it, but ive created a local rules for each room with all the items listed on it, really just to try and make things look better....is this ok?

Also did the inspectors ask members of the staff questions whilst doing their visit?

We did ours last year, it is alot of hard work but it all came together in the end. Like Nicky said above LOTS of sops and they will probably pick out something thats done wrong or that you missed. We were pretty sure we had covered everything and aparantly we had missed temp recording of the fridges (i was pretty sure i had covered that part myself but hey ho). It was all sorted in the end

Hi, we did it couple of years ago and did spend many hours writing sops for everything - they really do ook hrough everything an guaranteed to find something they arent happy with even if you think you have covered everything!!!

At least once they are done you only haver to update them which doesnt take as long!

we looked into it too - I spent ages pulling info together and in the finish we havnt bothered with it. On a personal level I do find myself questioning its value.
