We have a water meter, there is 2 of us in the house and we pay £30 a month and got so much in credit that they stopped taking our payments for several months! Seems like there might be something wrong with your meter!

Re: **WARNING**

Then get it checked it sounds something is going on.

Re: **WARNING**

LOl yeh you would think we were using loads but thats just it we aint as I work away Mon-Fri so partner has a shower a day, dishwasher once a week, washing machine twice a week, no plants to water, its just madness!!!
We had a water meter fitted last year thinking i would save us money as only two of us in the house and with me away locuming only one of us.......got our bill its gone up!!!!! So we are on a big water saving mission!!!!! Now paying £37 a month it started off at £15!!!! But it is still slightly cheaper than not having the meter as was £45 a month but still alot when most of the week only one person in the house!!!! The recession is definately hitting us all now

thats a hell of a hike - are you using your washer every single day?taking baths everyday? have a dripping tap(s) filling swimming pools in the summer? Dishwasher? Do you have a leak you dont know about? I am a single person using the washer at least 3 times a week, 2 very long leisurely baths a week and showers in between. Have loads of plants to water in the summer and I am currently paying £15 per month and at this rate I am still in credit by over £13 but this is the lowest I can set my monthly payment to. Any chance you are paying for somebody elses water too? - ie does somebody else have a supply running off your spur? Has the meter been checked?

Who is your supplier? I am with Anglian Water

Re: **WARNING**

WOW everyone l have spoken to says the bill will defo go down. At least l have a year to try it out so will see how it goes.

If you havent spoken to your electric supplier go onto their site and see about the electric monitors. Click the monitor onto one of your electric cables under the meter and the display into any plug in the house it gives you an idea of how much you are using and costs. If it is high go round seeing what you can turn off. they recon average is 8kw/day for a single person but no chance no matter how hard l try.

Re: **WARNING**

We had a water meter fitted last year thinking i would save us money as only two of us in the house and with me away locuming only one of us.......got our bill its gone up!!!!!
