GHD you will never go back!! Great for straight and to create curls. They will last longer if you look after them ie clean them and don't wrap the wire up. I could not live with out them!!

I had GHDs but the plates wore out after 2 years! I was very suprised, as people had told me they would last longer than this. So I bought nicky clarke (desired) ones, the next best thing in my opinion! They're cheaper, though not quite as good.. I have to admit I preferred my GHDs.

Honestly....trust me on this one!!! I have been through 3 sets of GHD's over the last 10 or so years. I had a major panick/melt down when my last set of GHD's just stopped working because I didnt have the money to get new ones....my hair is proper curly and I religiously straighten my hair (curly hair girls may sympathise with me!!!)

So in a panic...I went and bought a pair of tresemme (I think that it how you spell it) ceramic straightners.....and they are just as good and are serving me well!!! They were only £30 - so I suppose when you weigh it all up £30 vs £100+ I would definatley recommend the ones I have!!

GHD all the way. I've had mine abour 4 years and they work just as well as the day I got them. Wouldn't be without them.

I have fine hair but loads of it (so my hairdresser informs me) so it's not technically thick as the hair itself is fine but all of my hair together is thick, if that makes any sense. Anyway I cant use anything other than GHD, I love mine

Don't know if anyone would give them up! Unless they've got new ones, I've had mine for 7yrs and they're still going well. In fact one of the most reliable things I've ever bought. Been through few hair dryers.

GHDs all the way, ive had mine for 8 years now and they are still going strong, the cheaper ones just dont last as long and arnt as good in my opinion, you have to go over and over the same bit of hair but GHDs you only need to do it once so less damage to your hair

or check their website for official, approved online retailers. i got my uggs this way and paid £155 for a pair that usually costs £230, took me ages trawling through the list but was well worth it!

And get them from their official site, they are £99.00 and you get a years guarantee. No where does them for £50.00, they are fakes.

Chances are they aren't genuine, you can't get real GHDs at that price:

http://www.ghdstylerstockists.co.uk/approved-retailers this is useful to let you know where you can buy the real thing. My first set last me 9 years and I've just replaced them from http://www.lookfantastic.com/ where there was about £10 off the RRP, this is usually the most you get as a discount.
