for dogs trust. responsibilities /pay/ is it usually a sole nurse etc, or does its often depend on the size of the particular dogs trust?

There is normally just one VN, sometimes a nursing asst/canine carer and then the vet from a nearby practice will come in and do ops/consults of dogs at the centre, and those that have been rehomed. The ops do tend to be neuters (lots!) and some minor things like lump removals, anything more complex will go to the main practice. The VN deals with keeping the dogs health records updated with vaccines/worming/flea tx as well as some other general admin within the vet suite.

As a company they are good to work for, I had no problems with them. I think pay for nurses is around the 17-18k mark and there is no nights or weekend working, just 8-5. There is a VN job at the moment at the centre near Telford. That is a pretty big centre with lots of dogs so would imagine you would be kept busy.
