i think that most of the cards issued in practice are records, not true certificates, they would only be a true certificate if the animal can be positively identified by microchip, or tattoo.

there are arguements regarding the signing of vacc cards, such as vets signing other practices cards.

i guess it depends if you are just signing on behalf of the practice to confirm that the animal has had the vaccine, however if you are signing to say the animal is healthy and vaccinated, then it should be a vet signature (and a vet examination.

this is how i see it anyway.

I think, and please someone correct me if I'm wrong, a vaccination certificate can only be signed by the veterinary surgeon, but a vaccination record is different, and can be signed by a nurse? This post here (click please!) seems to explain it, but am not sure about the RVN/listed part.

To be safe I'd get a vet to sign it if your doing 2nd vaccinations, covers your back and it only takes 2 ticks for a vet to scribble!
