BER Calculations:-
<5kg 60 (what?) x bodyweight (kg) = kcals/24 hours
>5kg 30 (what?) x bodyweight (kg) + 70 (what?) = kcals/24 hours
I cant seem to find the units

Re: BER Units (Practical Exam)

p.s thats for the 30 and the 60 used in your calcuations, the extra 70 is kcal only

Re: BER Units (Practical Exam)

I would say it's kcal/kg because when you multiply by bodyweight the kg's cancel out and leave you an answer in k/cal only

Re: BER Units (Practical Exam)

Thankyou!

As far as I am aware there are no units for those values. As long as you include the kgs, and kcals/24hrs you'll be fine

Good luck with your pracs!
