Hi I did my diploma with myerscough. I was on the 1st course they ran and it took a few attempts to get everything right. The staff there seem to work really hard and want everyone to do well so I'm happy for my education. It's a shame I'm not a in a TP practice and I'm in the south. At my last practice I had a student doing the same as you and she was doing it for nothing, I just had to do her portfolio and all the training. She was brilliant and I hope she qualifies soon.

no experience with myerscrough, but keep your chin up and keep trying. when I started I got yellow pages out and wrote to every practice within a 60mile radius - only got a couple of replies, then in my first job training I travelled an hour every day for nearly 2 years (was planning on moving but pay was rubbish). Got there in the end

No, it can be voluntary which makes it 100 times easier but still, there's so much competition!

Congratulations on finding your placement ythough, am I right in thinking yours was 2 and half years? If so, that's brilliant! :)

I had the same thing for my VCA and it did knock my confidence. But I didn't let it get me down and sent 60 letters out the next day. So far I have had about 6 places say they can accomodate me. However this is for a voluntary placement, I know how hard student places are to come by. You able to volunteer or does it have to be a paid position?

Don't let it get you down though, just keep working hard and you will get there.
