I think valentines day can be good for single people to make that push to declare their love to someone and if they get turned down it can just be blamed on valentines day :p

If you are in a relationship and need a commercialised American holiday to tell your other half you love them then there is something very wrong with that relationship!

Re: Valentines - So what you all got your other half??

I just cooked him a lush fillet steak and I had salmon! lol.. got a bunch of flowers too

I think its far to over commercialised - we should celebrate love everyday, not just one day.. Ashton Kutcher said something like "We should tell the people we dont like how we feel on valentines day, that way we got 364 days of love, and 1 day of hate" Love it haha

Re: Valentines - So what you all got your other half??

Thanks everyone I didn't know he had it in him to be that romantic!!

Re: Valentines - So what you all got your other half??

[quote user="emmRAR"]

kinda had our valentines day today as other half's daughter is due to start chemo tomorrow so he's at the hospital with her from tomorrow morning onwards.

he'll get loads of text off me and hopefully be able to ring him later on but not actually buying him anything, although he did turn up tonight with a lovely bunch of flowers for me
