Congratulations emmRAR thats so lovely.......hoping one day I will be that lucky!!!!!

Well I got a lovely card from all my critters.......they had all wrote in it!!!!!!!!! BUT the card from other half hasnt arrived yet from moonpig????? Find very surprising as everyone I spoke to has never had problems with them and usually arrives next day???? So as yet nothing!!!!!!!!

Haha I like it Steph! I think valentines day can be good for single people to make that push to declare their love to someone and if they get turned down it can just be blamed on valentines day :p If you are in a relationship and need a commercialised American holiday to tell your other half you love them then there is something very wrong with that relationship!

I just cooked him a lush fillet steak and I had salmon! lol.. got a bunch of flowers too

I think its far to over commercialised - we should celebrate love everyday, not just one day.. Ashton Kutcher said something like "We should tell the people we dont like how we feel on valentines day, that way we got 364 days of love, and 1 day of hate" Love it haha

God I'm envious. My wife had the world coming out of both ends on Valentine's Day. Let's just say there wasn't an awful lot of lovin going on in our house, and certainly no choc brownies and whipped cream.

I bought us two big steaks and cooked them with onion rings and chips for tea - yummy! And eating in is so much easier than finding a babysitter...!!!

Will attack the pudding soon....a bar of toblerone for me and a mint aero for him!

well we normally dont celebrate valentines because we dont need a specific commercial day in order to give each other presents and show our love for each other.. so we agreed not to do anything this year... but in the end he couldn't help himself lol and took me to africa alive in lowestoft ...he spoils me xD spent most of the day looking at animals and awwing at them best present ever :D:D

Herc is my lovely male dog that has been diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma and was shown for the very last time on Saturday with his homemade livercake treats. He got 4th in Special open brindle.

have posted this before in another thread but will say it again anyway. fiance is in afghan so i sent him a box with 72 small cards in, written inside each is something i love about him, one for every day of the rest of his tour.

don't usually do valentines day stuff but this year is a bit different...!

Caro- I think you're allowed to be "bad taste" if you want to!

We're not really doing th whole Valentines thing, either. We went for a meal last year and it was pretty disasterous! Who books a huge party of loud, drunk people on a night publicised as couply/romantic?!? Just my luck to be sat right next to them! Then there was nothing on the menu I liked. Hubby felt so bad, that he let me have the "one to share" pudding all to myself and pretended he didn't want it. Thats love!!

kinda had our valentines day today as other half's daughter is due to start chemo tomorrow so he's at the hospital with her from tomorrow morning onwards.

he'll get loads of text off me and hopefully be able to ring him later on but not actually buying him anything, although he did turn up tonight with a lovely bunch of flowers for me
