we had this with our dog and frontline plus, however there was also an ulcer type wound along with the bald patch!

There is no crusting or anything, really weird just really soft and smooth.

Have used it for while now and not noticed any problems, just curious as to the cause. I mainly use the Advocate for lungworm, as had cases in. Even though she is brilliant and does not scavenge in garden or get into any thing she shouldn't., you just never know. As i understand it, lungworm is also through accidental ingestion.

Will mention it to rep anyway, see what they say.

Speak to your bayer rep. I've heard of this before and seen it with the stronghold. Never usually a problem.

This happened to my cat - I did contact Bayer about it, but they refused to speak to me and would only speak to my vet (even tho the vet was standing next to me at the time)

was told by vet that it can happen and isnt anything to worry about after he had spoken to them. Have never used it or Advantage since. Jasper had what I can only describe as a hotspot type lesion which developed within 24hrs of administration. The hair did eventually grow back, it took quite a long time for it to stop crusting and the hair regrowth over the area is white/grey rather than black
