Its only a new door needed and some repair work where back door should be as only a three door. Just can not believe they were considering writing it off. I always thought a write off was a crumpled up mess ! not a small amount of damage. But insurance company said they can write cars off for cosmetic damage.

Katie good luck with your boyfriend cab, they just do not realise the mess and stress it causes, even though accident not caused through our fault.

My car has gone in today, and luckily have courtesy car.

Re: My car is not being written off yay !

The same thing happened to my boyfriend and he is a cab driver. So technically he has lost his job, they want to write the car off. Yet hardly any damage. Good that you have been given the all clear, just hope it happens to my man.

Re: My car is not being written off yay !

Aw thats good. Being working for esure for a few months now, if your car is written of even if your policy has just started they cancel your policy with no refund if you pay annually but not DD! Sorry I don't drive so not sure if every company is the same Ijust find it crazy!! In saying that, i find the price of insurance bonkers!

Re: My car is not being written off yay !

Thats great, I've had 2 cars wriiten off due to accidents which weren't my fault. I hated it both times and was out of pocket. To make it worse I totally loved the 1st car and really didnt want it to be written off. About 3 wks later I received a phone call from a man asking if I could give him the security code for the radio as he had bought my precious damaged car as "a little run around" for his wife. I was not amused!!!!! Glad ur car is ok.

Re: My car is not being written off yay !

That's great news. The wait to hear is always horrid. It took them 2.5 weeks to replace 4 wheels and Tyers and redo the tracking on my mini when I lost control on a diesel spill on a roundabout and stopped on a verg with back wheels over a ditch. Thankfully no one else on roundabout at the time so no major damage. Glad u will get your little motor back soon xXx
