Fallen and Torment - first 2 of a 4 book series. Kinda like Twilight and makes you feel like a teenager all over again lol! It's about fallen angels and kissing.

Some of you may know of the WWJD wristbands that some christians wear - meaning What Would Jesus Do. Your'e meant to look at it when you are faced with a difficult situation, and ask yourself -What Would Jesus Do?

Personally - I'm not bothered what he would do, since I don't believe in god etc..

But

I found a tshirt and wristband with WWJHD? on it- Ie - What Would James Herriot Do?

It's in Thirsk, near York. The area is as gorgeous as he says it is in his books!
The museum is bigger then I thought it would be. You first walk through James/Alfs life and then it goes over into 'the veterinary world over the years'. All the instruments they used in those days and before that time are all there!

I have to say I visited the museum before I started reading the books! I had seen the TV series off course and that was enough for me already :)
I only recently got given my first copies of his books. I have now bought all the rest of his books :D

Re: Books books books!

I have the James Herriot.
Yes it was the Herriot books that got me into this - my dad bought me my first one when I was 13. I had been laid up in hospital for weeks and I think the little trolley that came round the wards had run out of 'Jackie' magazine and it was this book or nothing, I read it in a day and a half ( I still have it) After that I just read them as they came out.

My dad never wanted me to come into this job ironically even tho he inadvertantly introduced me to it.

I have taken part in a few events at the Herriot centre in the past whilst I was working for BX - if you have never visited its worth the trip

Re: Books books books!

[quote user="Sal the 1st"]
