Prefer a zip tunic for that same reason. I'm quite short and stick out at belly which catches on tabels and door handles not fun. Did it in front of client... ... nearly died of shame. Yes he was male and got an eye full. Must have looked like a beetroot!

Hopefully you'll find your head VN a bit more approachable when you know her better but in the meantime you might find a different bra helps. I'd go to M&S or an old fashioned lingerie shop, with the offending tunic, and explain the problem to one of their bra fitters. Most bras are designed to accentuate the bust but you can also get ones that minimise it. Failing that, does the tunic look tight across the back/shoulders? If it does I'd use that as an excuse to get a larger size and then alter it to fit me better.

Hope you manage to sort this out. We spend far too long in our uniforms to feel uncomfortable in them!

I know how you feel as i'm pretty busty and i've recently put on some weight so my tunics don't fit. I'm too embarrased to ask for a new one and i don't have the spare cash to buy my own so i'm just wearing a t-shirt under my work jumper at the moment and hopingthat i will have lost all the weight by the time the weather gets warmer!

What I would probably suggest is buying the size that fits you in the bust area then getting it altered either by doing it yourself (if you have a sewing machine) or taking it to a dressmaker who can take it in at the waist etc for you. Maybe your work will pay for the alterations? If not it shouldn't be too expensive and it will be worth it to have a tunic that actually looks good on you and fits comfortably and properly!

I have the same problem - is this a grahame gardner uniform by any chance? In the finish I bought my own and let work get the embroidery done (they were happy with this as it saved them a good bit of money. And this is what I have done at my present practice too. Alternatively could they get the logo done as a stitch on patch type logo that can be transferred from each uniform as they are replaced. That will also make things easier

Hey, I'd just mention it. I had that problem loads of times - most of us do. How many of us actually have to ask for a new uniform because it is now too big for us. Most of us grow outwards I remember facing this issue when I started looking like Friar Tuck in my green and white striped tunic (all sucked in at the middle with a black elastic belt - yum!). Just laugh it off and ask for a new one to be ordered.
