We had a weird one last weel, company asked to speak to oss as said they were updating their records, and then started asking for his date of birth and mothers maiden name etc - like security questions - he refused and hung up.

Cheeky little bu**ers!! Sounds like them! Gems hygiene tried to scam us, with the whole free wine, the questions, the "free" disinfectant. we got sent 20 litres of deodoriser and £300 worth of disinfectant which they charged us for! My boss went mental and used a courier to send it all back and rang them up, giving them some harsh words, havent heard from them since, or paid a penny!!

Makes me very angry that there are people out there trying to scam us!!!

Our head nurse had a call from a company that sounded a bit like these people the other day, luckily she said she didn't want to be sent any samples and that we weren't interested. What conniving idiots they are!

I had a promotional thingy from gems hygiene posted to me detailing their special valentines deals!!

Also had a call from this pharmaceutical company, dodnt get too stroppy with me though, I just asked them to send info in post.

I was sure I had read a post a few months ago about this and I got a call today from a company called ACL, they asked for me by name and said I had taken part in a survey about disinfectants a few months ago and they would send a bottle of wine to my home address!!!! (I hadnt taken part in any survey) I told them I didnt drink and they said they would donate it toan animal charity!!!. They then started asking a lot of questions about products we used. It sounded too dodgy so I told them I wasnt interested and hung up.

It was posted on the old site. They send out cleaning product making out they are free and then the practice gets charged. Some of the last posts I remember someone said the had changed their name to Active something or other
