I didnt get any funding as such...but my lovley boss did pay for the course though i have now used up my cpd allowance for the next 3 years lol-but i had to pay for expenses ie accomodation and petrol- im in Scotland and the course was in Manchester so it did mount up!!

The cases were fine though you did have a word count you were restricted to - not much room to waffle which i found challenging cos im the worlds worst for this!The large case report was more of a discussion and had to have references included etc- and this counted as 50% of mark and then the 25 multi choice questions were questions on things which nurses arent faced with in everyday practice - they were quite specialised questions- well most of them!

Thanks for the feedback! I would love to be able to do it over 1 year, but CPD allowance is no where near, and personal finances are in no way fit!

Looks like a fab course tho! I am a total anaesthesia geek!

Did you get any funding? Or did you pay for it all yourself? Eeek!

How was the exam? Must admit the case reports don't phase me - I love the chance to waffle on!

I did the A & CC last year and sat exams in nov.I loved it and has been soooo helpful!I wasnt looking forward to the case reports and extended 1500 word report but once i got into writing them i loved it-learned so much from it and has been very valuable.I did mine over one year though, if its possible for you I would recommend this rather than the 3 years.

Hey, I'm doing the A+CC course this year and I think the course is fab. The tutors are great and really helpful and the people at Improve cannot do enough to help. I'm attending the course in Swindon and the venue is perfect. I would highly recommend doing this course! The only slight downside is the 4 x 500 word case studies and the 1500 word case report that need to be written before the exam can be sat - I'm not looking forward to sitting down and writing these! Good Luck with whatever you decide to do.

I have do the prac tech one last year, found it really informative and helpful, nice small groups lots of practical aspects. Location and facilities great.

No knowledge on A&CC i'm afraid but i am doing the Behaviour Cert. Fantastic locatio, small class size and ace team for lecture and support. Would highly recommend. Seem very organised and professional.
