Someone my mum knows needs to go into hospital for 5 days for chemotherapy, she struggles financially but has a dog as her companion.
She can't afford kennels

Re: Animal care when in hospital

Hi, do. Some policies have cover to pay for kennels if you are hospitalised.

Macmillan may also be able to help with a small grant for this kind of thing. When i was having treatment my lovely Macmillan support nurse mentioned that they may be able to help if i needed anything buying, it would be worth her asking as i'm sure they will have had similar situations before.

Re: Animal care when in hospital

The Cinnamon trust is a great idea but they are so short of volunteers they often can't help and it very much depends on area.
