Ive not heard of this new paper so I'll take a look at it.

I've started doing webinars. The webinar vet has a nurse subscription which is really cheap. It's great cos you can do it at home live or at own leasure. I've got one tonight which I intend on doing in my pj's with my mug of tea/hot chocolate.... ... haven't decided yet.

I got a few freebies of the veterinary nurse, wasn't as good as expected to be. I think I will stick to my much loved VNJ and membership to BVNA is cheaper and so many CPD offers on their website.

The VNJ articles are available through the BVNA members site. You can get past and present articles.

If my boss decides to pay for a full subscription then I will get the 'Veterinary nurse mag' but as they say ' pigs might fly !!

yeah you still get discounts on books for bvna membership. bsava membership is a new thing for nurses, not even been launched yet so not sure what they are going to include in it

thanks guys,

did not know about bsava membership for nurses, we used to get discounts on manuals if you are a bvna member, does this still apply.

i have managed to get the whole of bsava congress booked off, so will hopefully be book shopping there.

I have subscribed to both the magazine and the on line CPD. I find it most informative and very interesting!

I subscribed to vet nurse but just the mag as couldnt afford the cpd as well. The magazine is ok - some great articles some not so interesting - depends where your interests lie. Wouldnt say fab value for money as only usually read a few pages from it.

I took the decision that it was too expensive for me to do, although may sign up at some point, I am actally just waiting to hear back from BSAVA to see what is included in their new nurses membership and if that includes all their journals then I'm going for that (think its about £66 per year!!!)
