&lt;p&gt;tp = training practice [ i hope ] &lt;strong&gt;Yep&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;cpd - ??&amp;nbsp; &lt;strong&gt;Continuous Professional Development - i.e training courses. There are essential hours of CPD for Vets/VNs&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;what&amp;#39;s the difference between a&amp;nbsp;referral&amp;nbsp;placement and a locum? who are they for? who can apply&lt;strong&gt;?&amp;nbsp; Referral practices are just that - somewhere a patient is referred to, usually somewhere where procedures/treatments may not&amp;nbsp;be carried out in general practice i.e orthopaedics/neurology etc. A locum is a person who works either PAYE/Self employed and works as and where needed without being employed at a set practice. The job description will tell you who&amp;nbsp;can apply though?? Depending on the referral practice&amp;nbsp;a lot may only employ VNs&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;
