Well, if you want remote beauty, I'd recommend Tongue (nearly as far north as you can get). And if they still sell them, the souvenir is a car boot sticker saying:
"I Tongue".

We stayed in Perivolos (the opposite side from the Caldera and therefore cheaper) but we did several trips over to Thira, Oia and Firostefani. The sunsets are spectacular! I'm sure you'll love it and your photos will be stunning

Wow - whereabouts? Santorini has to rate as the most beautiful picturesque place I've been. After seeing it again on "The Secret Meditteranean" the other week, I really fancy going back! Have you been before?

Scotland is great!

Depends what you want to do though, the train from Glasgow to Mallaig through Fort William is really scenic and was voted an award as the top rail journey in the world!

Glasgow is great too, loads of things to do and see and not as expensive as Edinburgh all depends what your into and what you want to do though

Thanks for all of you replies...they are all great!!!

I think i have narrowed it down to Scotland, Not the most intense honeymoon, but i was watching relocation relocation last night and it looked Gorgeous!!

So now have to Decide where in Scotland lol

We spent our 1st anniversay at Deer Park (Forrest Holidays) in Cornwall, nr Liskard. You can take dogs!!

Log cabin In the woods, no mobile signal, log fire, hot tub and champers!- loverly! Nice walks and beaches near by. Eden Project nr by also.

We were lucky enough to have generous in-laws so we had our honeymoon in Kenya, but we never would have been able to afford it ourselves. It might be a bit out of your budget, but we went to Cuba a couple of years ago. 2 weeks all inclusive was about £600 and it is the most lovely place.

Well depending where you live in the first place and exactly what time of year the wedding is, the south west often has slightly better/warmer weather than other places and I love Devon/north Cornwall as there are beautiful sandy beaches, moors etc. One of my favourite places is Lynmouth which is just gorgeous and has some fab hotels/b&b's/inns, depending on what you're looking for, plus there is plenty to see and do if you do decide to come out of your honeymoon suite and have some days out Cornwall also has some great places to stay.

I also love Scotland although weather possibly not as good, The Lakes, Peak District - all have everything from posh hotels to cosy cottages, depending on whether you want to be waited on or have more privacy. The Heritage Trust do accommodation in slightly more unusual places like lighthouses and converted water towers, windmills etc if you want the novelty factor but not too far away. Abroad, the most beuatiful honeymoon destination for me would have to be Santorini (google it and select images if you're not familiar with it!) The posh hotels and cave house hotels there come at a price but people like Thomson do your usual 3 star or self catering package holidays for ok prices.

Obviously you'll know from all my fundraising threads on here that I'm in love with Cyprus...

Or you could look for an all inclusive deal somewhere so that although it may cost more up front, you don't need spending money and know your food and drinks are all taken care of. Doesn't necessarily have to be long haul - we recently looked at Cape Verde Islands whioch are relatively new to the brochures and unspoilt but only a 5hr flight away. Try lastminute.com or somewhere like that for bargain deals?

I love planning holidays and have spent half my life poring over brochures so can come up with more ideas if you narrow it down to an area you like the sound of!

This time last yr i was on my hoonymoon( wish i was on it again) we went on carabian cruise and 3 nights in new york. was the holiday of my life time. we spent £3000 for both of us including a organised trip on every island. we went to 6 islands. it was amazing.

we put cats in catterry and dog went to mates house, 1st time i have ever put cats in cattery and they came back very happy. we were going to have a fmily member stay in puse but that fell through.

Maybe looking at a Uk Hols, were thinking of hiring a VW camper...but didnt realise how much thay are?!? so looking at a couple of hundred each. Maybe we could stretch to a cheap hols abroad!

When you say you don't have a massive budget, are you wanting UK suggestions or somewhere reasonably priced abroad? Got loads of places I could suggest but depends on how limited the budget is ie couple of hundred between you or several hundred each? People's ideas of limited vary! Will fire away with ideas once you've answered this...

Yeah we dont really want a stressful/rushed off our feet honeymoon.

We dont have anyone in this area that we no, just really moved here, we are in Ilkeston, Derby. So if anyone knows anyone then that would be great!!!

Hi, I have a trusty pet sitter who is akey holder for my house just incase. What area are you in - someone on here may be able to put you in touch with someone.

We just went to Lake District for our honeymoon we just wanted a chilled out get away from it all time after all the stress!
