I know people in Skipton! They are nuts, lol! Seen pictures of the Skipton Sheep when they were painting them!

As for placements, I have 2 cats and had to leave them with my parents when I first started nursing. It wasn't easy, but was worth it! I understand it's hard. Maybe you could do a temp loan of the horses? Can't remember what its called, the horse is yours but someone else looks after it? Maybe you could look at moving the horses with you?
I've never had a horse (before I get told "it's impossible!") but you could temp loan them until your settled and then get them back? Maybe a family member will help out? I now have my cats with me, and a qualification!

Wow, I'm glad the move worked out for you! It's made me consider relocation as an option, it seemed to go so well for you. Thank you for sharing :)

If anyone knows of any placements in the Warwickshire area or nearby. I'd be really grateful. I've got voluntary work lined up, so now I'm starting to send letters to all the practises I know of and crossing my fingers.

Hey, Im really sorry you are struggling to find a job, please dont take this the wrong way, im just accounting my experience that worked for me..

Veterinary Nursing was something I really really wanted to...I sent of hundreds of letters, all saying they would keep my details on file, never heard anything, so my only option was to relocate, it was my only chance an boy was I glad I did it,

I moved from a tiny village in the Lakes to the bright lights of London, did my training and stayed 5 years, then made the decision to move back up home..relocating doesnt have to be permenant,

11 years later im still nursing and still love my career, moving to London also was a great personal challenge too

I really hope you can find somewhere.

Hi,

Cant really relocate as ive got commitments at home - Ive got 2 horses and family etc. will travel up to an hour for work though, Im right on the staffs/derby/cheshire borders

To be fair, I haven't had any dealings with them. I half registered and then realised that they couldn't get me what I was looking for. I received a call next day from them. So listen to Tracey and every one else if they have had bad experiences. I am sure something will come up just don't give up on your dream!

I have found syngery, carlton professional and locum bank all to be good....... tend to send regular emails about jobs rather than phoning which I find is better

i registered with carlton and they found me my current permanent position. they don't hassle me with calls but still send me emails about other positions to keep me informed. (i always like to know whats out there) . once you're in a permanent job tho they will remove you if you want. dead friendly too!

I had trouble getting paid!!!! Took about a year to get my money back for travelling after being told prior to accepting my travel would be paid then got told I wasn't able to claim it. I ended up out of pocket and they didn't want to know until they had a section on here where I posted.

I've used synergy in the past and they were fab.

Because you will never get a moments peace!! I had 4 phone calls from them in 1 day about jobs even though i had told them i wasn't looking for a job any more!

If your looking for student positions then their are loads of vet recruitment sites you can register with. Rigvets will help you find a student placement. Thats such a shame but just keep looking and I am sure you will get something. Put in vet nurse recruitment sites in google and it will bring them up. Just find out before registering if they help you find student vn positions. Chin up hun, you will get there!
