Ur welcome, just another thought for you.....could you retake your maths gcse as a part time / evening course and apply for student nurse positions, and just let them know you are retaking your gcse?

And yeah do not give up, you are very determined I can see that x

But just bear in mind that some practices may want you to work there for a certain length of time before putting you thorugh any kind of course, i suppose its just to make sure its the right career for you and that you are right for the practice, reliable etc.

They have a VCA student in the practise at the moment and I was told she would be leaving in September, turns out they didn't realise that her course goes on longer. I think it is online so a bit different to doing a VCA at college. As mine is only for a year. Gutting but what can you do? Just frustrating as I had a placement last September just gone and had to defer due to money worries. These things happen to test us I suppose!

Just in case you are not already, make it clear in your letter to practices that it is voluntary work and you do not expect to be paid and that they do not need to be a training practice.

Im sure our practice would bite someones arm off for someone wanting to work there for free!!

Thank you, yeah I put on situations wanted every other week, so will keep trying. Thanks for all your help, so dissappointing but at least it's not a month before the course lol!

Oh god so sorry to hear that but least your being positive about it and at least its happened now giveing you 8 months to find another placement......put a advert on here under situations wanted......its a large area so I am sure you will find something.......will keep eyes and ears open for you x
