It would be quite nice to make a bit of a weekend of it with her and do something nice after the exam. I think it's bad that they let you know with so little notice, they know people have to arrange transport and accommodation. Ah well, hopefully i won't struggle to book something!

Awww - that's ace of your sister! I wasn't brave going on my own - I just had no choice really lol!

I would REALLY advise going down the night before

I actually, really can't remember how soon before the date I found out! How bad is that - it was less than a year ago! Eeek at my memory!

I think it was 2 or 3 weeks..... there were loads of SVNs at my B&B tho!

You won't need good luck, but I'll give you a lil anyway - GOOD LUCK!!

My sister just phoned and offered her services to come with me! I do drive and have a sat nav (wouldn't find anywhere without it!). I think that's very brave of you going on your own, i couldn't do that. I don't mind the cost, my boss is paying my exam fee i think so will only be the b & b or hotel to pay for.

How soon before the exams do you find out your date?

Hey Vicky

I did mine last summer and had to travel about 2.5hrs - I went down the night before and stayed in a B&B 5mins from the college. I went on my own with a Sat Nav, and set off about an hour early in the morning from the B&B!

Result was that I had time to calm down ...ish....and no panicking over being late!

Do you drive? I would have found it more stressful if not, but would probably have got a taxi from B&B to exam centre.

Only downside to doing it this way was the cost, but it was worth it!
