If u missed that episode, heres what happened.....

The mum was bleeding and in a critical condition after part of her placenta was left inside so rushed to hospital in a car, waited for ambulance but was taking too long.

They didnt split them up purposely, they were going to get him to the hospital later after the mum was stabilised, but that never happened as she escaped and made her own way home, to find the baby had died. But thats another story altogether......

Agree that the storyline is a bit over the top, but thats soapland for u

as an Enders fan, I feel the need to defend them.....he wasn't sent home.....he was born at home and mum was later rushed to hospital!!

Have to say though it is a ridiculous storyline......as if!!!

Yeh its fab name....shame dont see more pets in soaps....makes me laugh when they soon forget about them and they are never seen,......cant really miss a great dane in a terrace house but hes never round!!!!!

Its just getting soooooooooo unrealistic endas now.....as if the hospital would send a newborn bay home without its mother!!!!! Aaaaaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhh BUT i keep on watching it!!!!! Voted for corrie yest as top soap for NTAs at least thats funny

one of my new years resolutions is to not slump on the sofa and watch these rubbish footballers wives recycled strylines, me and the 'usband are going to learn a new language and im also going to join a gym class (or so i keep telling people haha)

I LOVE animal emergency at the moment. It is based at Lort Smith Animal Hospital in Austrailia, it also rehomes stray animals as well. I series link it and watch it everyday. It looks like an incredible place to work as it is an animal A & E. Although every time I watch it, something will have me in tears. But I love it and so does my dog. I also watch Vets On Call but as it is based in Ireland I sometimes can't understand their strong accents. Thats generally farm based animals with a few cat and dogs cases thrown in. But definately watch Animal Emergency, it is addictive!

They like to put in 'real story lines' to create awareness that stuff like that actually does happen! It gave me goose bumps and a few tears but also made me realise how lucky I am!

Im not a mum unfortunately but I must say that when I watched it I thought how absolutely horrendous that would be to happen in real life.

Me too

They like to put in 'real story lines' to create awareness that stuff like that actually does happen! It gave me goose bumps and a few tears but also made me realise how lucky I am!

I must admit that I don't watch a lot of tv but do love a bit of depressedenders. Yes a lot of the storylines are ridiculous and upsetting but it's a soap.

Yes i think the latest storyline in eastenders is just totally upsetting, and i know its only a soap! But these things do happen in real life too. Which i think is what upsets me more, to think that people go through this, however far fetched the writers decide to make it.

Its true that we do have a choice whether or not to watch these programs, and i choose to watch them. If this makes me sad, then so be it, i will continue watching to see how the stotyline unfolds.............

I agree, Eastenders is usually depressing at the best of times as everyone is so miserable but now it is ridiculous. The only soap I watch regularly is good old Emmerdale !! Much better scenery,(Yorkshire), sexy accents + lots of good looking characters. lol.

I have the proud boast l have never watched eastenders and only a few coronation street episodes many years ago and never a whole one ditto to the others actually don't think l can name any soaps l look at more than the adverts. Only one l watched regular was country practice and that was many years ago before we moved toTenerife.

I can't watch eastenders, it's too depressing and completly far fetched, I only watch Corrie but then I am northern so it's like going home lol!

People do have a choice, but people don't always make a choice that is best or most appropriate, or even realise the impact of the decision they make. And to quote a nurse I was a college with, whose motto was "people are generally stupid!"!

I don't think soaps are solely responsible, there are many contributing factors, hence why I said that they "contribute". Yes, many of these things like affairs, illegitimate children, broken familes etc have been going on for a long time, but seeing people flippantly throwing away marriages, having affairs, waltzing off abroad or drinking in the pub every day, but still able to pay for a mortgage in the Eastend! All on a regular basis, whether this is on soaps, or celeb magazines. It seeps into the consciousness of the general public .

Of course, not all illegitimate children or unfaithful people are responsible for the downfall of society!

i dont watch soaps these days however I feel all soaps have touched sensitive subjects at some point and all have the chance of upsetting people through one storyline or another, they do try and touch real life subjects.

As for blaming soaps for all of todays problems in societies I think we should remember that children born out of wedlock,affairs etc have always been around its just that in the past they were taboo subjects so were brushed under the carpet, just think of the poor girls who had got pregnant as late as the 60's and were forced to give their babies up (my dad was one of these babies back in the 50's and we're only just finding out about his natural family), the only difference now is that it is seen as more socially acceptable. As for affairs well they have been going on since the world began!

I think soaps have a place, i dont think they should be blamed for problems, and i actually think they are being more responsible these days by offering the helplines they do following sensitive storylines.

Oh and as always people do have the option to watch or not watch tv programmes

Are u talking bout the Ronnie baby story? I think its crap shes had enough thrown at her it would have been nice to have it work out for her.....at the moment the soap has been miserable through xmas very depressing.....least when u watch corrie it always makes a bad situation better with good one liners that make you laugh.......defo the best soap on the tv at the moment

've given up watchig all the soaps, to be honest and no longer use my tv to watch programmes (so don't pay tv license) as a protest.

I actually think these things contribute to the lowerig moral values in todays society. People having affairs, having kids left, right and centre, marriage breakdowns. Not to mention the pure unpleasant nature of some of the characters. I don't know what bothers me more, that these people write this garbage, or that so many millions view it every week-why did it boost viewig figures to watch a tram de-railment on Coronation street?!?
