WOW congrats on the birdies pity it was only 2 but at least it is 2
And PHEW! to the guy that wants those trees and what you told him re writing insurance etc. I wouldn't like to try it where they are it is scary

he knows i want it in writing - and I also want to see evidence of adequate insurance on his part before he does them! - I am getting good at this!

he will also need authority of council to close the road.

sold two of the birdies too! full asking price - told him if he wanted to haggle I wasnt interested because he was getting a bloody good deal anyway and he stumped up!

I would get that in writing from him. The snotty *** next door would raise all kinds of hell and you do not need a court case.

yes i have told the guy with the chain saw if he can drop the trees without damage to either building he can have them for logs too - but any damage he pays for!

Yup l knew they were green but left to season they will be good by next year. At least you know how to get rid of the trees if you go that route

should explain that those logs everybody wanted are green! they will take an age to burn and create a load of smoke in the bargain. but if they wanted em that bad who am I to argue - I tried to tell them!

skip wasnt wasted it was full to the brim when I left.

and you will not believe this Carolyn but we have found another 2 engines! - at least 5 people have been through that workshop and we thought we had searched everywhere but there were still 2 near complete steam engines looking right at us! (City of Wells just to keep City or Truro company and a 3/4 finished Golden Arrow) on the left hand side of the bench where we took the pedestal drill out. we have also found a part complete Nigel Gresley nestling in the cupboard under the Lathe stand which I will be keeping. .

desperate times for desperate measures. so many people throw things away with out even thinking because it's easier to do than organising selling it or advertising it. yard sales and online selling are going to be more and more popular again I think with the tough times ahead. pikey maybe, but still very resourceful in tough times. one man's junk is another man's treasure as they say.

See l told you those logs would be perfect for a fire. I can not belive that you were throwing that lovely pine grandfather clock box away though Pity uou have to pay out for the skip it could have been a nice earner.

when my grandparents were alive there was a neighbour beside them who would search the communal skip regular and was often seen carrying strange things away from it!! He also visited the nearby nightclubs on a saturday and sunday morning searching for any money people may have dropped
