as for kissing the ring it doesnt sound silly at all, my gran left me her engagement ring and I plan to get it re-sized soon so I can wear it

Thanks Vicky - my sister will be reading it out with me.. we're doing a verse each I'd crumble on my own! lol xx

My Grandma had the same rule, no black. Had a nice grey leoprint top with red roses around the base so wore that. I lost my grandma nearly 7yrs ago (14th Dec) only 11 days after her 85th birthday.

Def agree with this, my Grandma would have hated to see me all upset and being down. I'd rather someone celebrated my life rather than morn my death. Your Nan'll be up there, listening to your poem, thinking "thats my grandaughter!" and bet she'll shed a tear at those wonderful words too, and giggle at the end!

Aww it's lovely. I especially like the last line!

When my nan died, we banned anyone from wearing black and we actually had a lovely day remembering her and how great she was.

As hard as it is losing someone you love, try and remember the good times and celebrate the person that she was. :)
