Sorry, no. He's somewhere else (prison, injunction, goodness knows?) after being arrested for chasing her up the road with a large steak knife, threatening to "f'ing kill her" and then assaulting one of our other neighbours who tried to intervene. When I said "they", I meant the family in general (think she has a son but don't really know them). Bloody scary it was - we had 4 police cars and a dog van up the road that Saturday morning! Perhaps we could be the new Corrie...Then again, we've had our share of fame already as I live in the village which was used as Royston Vasey in League of Gentlemen!

Think "Neighbours" with Northern accents. then again, that would make it Coronation Street and they've not had a good night either...

I live in flats, I can tell you...the people next door me are currently opening and closeing their door repeatedly. No clue as to why, a guy on the top floor is an alcoholic and a very strange guy, the other guy on the top floor never answers his door, and had never said a word to my partner till the summer (he's been here over 2yrs) The couple upstairs like to get at it at 3am on a sunday/monday morning....and she's a screamer. The couple op them have some sort of fish tank in their living room. I don't think I talk to any of the neighbours now, apart from 1 lady in the other block as we occasionally bump in to her at the station.
Your street sounds like it has had a rough year, so things can only get better no one talks to thier neighbours anymore, and it's kind of sad

I bet the only reason you know about all this is because you are so close with all your neighbours. I don't really have a clue what goes on in my street so the exact same thing could be happening, I just don't know about it.

Does sound like a hard hard year for you all.. and if your all a close, friendly street, then many will have the support they need .. but if your set on moving, good luck with it , just don't make a rash decision (or move into a street called elm street ) xxx

Doesn't sound a very happy street in 2010.... maybe all the bad things happened this year and 2011 will be a fresh start and a happy new year...?

PS.. if you like your house then I would stay.... 2011 WILL be a good year!
