Just 1 more question is practices generally confidential

if the practice you send your cv to is quite close to the one you work now and both bosses are pally then I would say no confidentiallity could be a problem

Re: Should I be looking for a new job :/

Hi all thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I just sat my practicals there at the weekend and i really dont know how they went so fingers crossed. I am not going to write my cv up until i know my results i dont want to test fate. But come results time if its good news i will be sending my cv out. Just 1 more question is practices generally confidential as i dont really want them getting in touch with my current employer as it could cause trouble!!!

Re: Should I be looking for a new job :/

Congrats! I've recently..... .... well a few months now been in my new job and I love it. If you want to go or think you have to leave, you just have to do it. It's like a relationship - If you have to try all the time and it gives you more heart ache than good.... .... then leave!

Re: Should I be looking for a new job :/

Hiya

I was in the same situation and I qualified October time. I had to bite my tounge and keep my head down til I had my results. I thought that I had been there for that long I could go another few months. I nearly had a break down because of work. When training they treated me like rubbish but now Im qualified they treat me so differently................because they basically need me as they dont have any experiences nurses. Well I sent my CV out as soon as I had qualififed and Im handing my notice in tomorrow woohoo!!! I just sent it round to all the local vets that I knew had a good reputation- there are a few round here that dont. and now have a new job to go to

so there is light at the end of the tunnel. good luck with your exams and good luck with the job hunt

I moved jobs straight after qualifying, not because I fell out with anyone or disliked where I worked I just thought I'd stopped learning. I would recommend moving round because you learn new things.

If you're unhappy then you should leave if you think it cannot be resolved. Good luck.

Re: Should I be looking for a new job :/

Its both good and bad as I dont have a contract!!! So I think that says alot about the practice.

There is alot of jobs going at the minute in my surrounding area within 50miles and I am just hoping they wont be gone if and when i qualify.

Thanks very much hopefully I can keep my nerves. :)

Re: Should I be looking for a new job :/

Hi

I would check your contract as lots of practices stipulate you must stay for X amount of time after qualifying, or you will have to pay back the training fees.

That aside, I would wait at least until your exam results, especially if your employer paid the exam fee.

There is nothing to stop you looking - apparently there is a shortage of RVN's so you should have your pick if you pass your practicals.

Good luck for your exams, and hope things improve at work for you
