With him its an over long soft palate causing it, which is what often causes it in brachycephalic breeds. I think small breeds often do it due to a partially collapsing trachea.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;yeah she managed to get the whole house up all watching her including the cats. she sat as still as she can all day so not to start up again, bless her&lt;/p&gt;
