my transition student has her log in details now so we're good to start but my other student who is starting from the beginning still doesn't have hers!!! it's soooooo annoying!!!

I got my password and log in yest ay college!!

My appprenticeship liason officer came out to practice on wed and said i should get them soon, and that she had entered al work onto my record that was covered last year on the NVQ. So she said it gives me a 45% completion!! yey... and my overall framework is at 59%. Or it may be the otherway round those numbers, not sure, but either wy im happy....

Now gotta get to grips with the NPL and start signing stuff off.

I'm at Morton Morrell in warwickshire, we to only have Christmas off, don't know why we have such long days, to be honest I'd rather extend the term. I cant believe you still haven't got your npl password, we've only just got ours and have been told we've got to complete it by march!! like i said with a clinical coach that cant be bothered its impossible, apparently if i don't complete by may at the latest i wont be able to do the practical in June but i can still go ahead and do the theory in July (but only if i pass the exam there setting in April) its just one thing after another....got this week off work and bet you can guess what I'm doing :)

what college at you at? i only do 9-4.30 at college but were still planning on finishing everything in 1 year - but we have no half terms except christmas but i dont mind that. i'm not able to start npl yet cos i havent got the correct password but hopefully will soon.

So am i and i hate it!! our college day runs from 9.30am - 7.30pm cause we have to cram 2yrs of work into 1yr!! plus replacing the portfolio sucks, why give us the NPL if there still setting us assignments where we have to get cases, surely that's portfolio work! How are you coping with the NPL? I've got a clinical coach that doesn't want to do it in the first place, so am getting no where + our practice has taken on two trainee nurses + two degree students in the space of a week and I'm being lumbered with having to show/train them when I'm a trainee myself....its not going to happen (me qualifying this term) don't you feel like we're the guinea pigs as we're the first group to take on the diploma from the nvq?...sorry if this sounds like a rant but I'm very stressed at mo

You only have to do a small amount of equine (handling, catching husbandry) This is in the Core units. My students college is doing all of the core equine stuff with her for me! (hopefully most will do the same)

The other equine stuff is in the optional equine pathway. You choose if you want to do equine and/or small animal pathway. I think it will probably be rare for students to do both.

Things like a capnograph we don't have either. I think I will probably get her to do a day or two at a referral practice. You don't have to show her how to use it yourself (as a clinical coach) you just have to say in the log who showed her. You would have to give her a final assesment to say you know she can use one though.

We have a transition student - you dont need to do the equine stuff even though its on there.

Just typical really isn't it! Never is easy!! I find they make things as difficult as possible for us!! But we have been waiting since September for our enrolment and it still hasn't happened!!!

Yeah, this is what my tutors keeping telling us as they hear things from the RCVS-it just getting rediculous now-i just want to get on with it!! I reckon we wont even get it before xmas! Hopefully it wont affect us!!

well this is what the person at the college has told me after a response they had from the rcvs, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed but i know all too well what they are like so i'm not expecting much!!! Hopefully with the npl being much more simpler and less time consuming the delay won;t affect the students as much as a delay in starting the portfolio did!!!

Ive just started my Veterianry Course and am still waiting to be enrolled which is really annoying!!! I cant get on the NPl until I have the login details and am enrolled. The RCVS said we would be enrolled by the beginning of November and now its December and they still havn't enrolled us!! So now when people say it should be on within 10days etc, i dont give my hopes up!! I also really want to get started on things!!

My students still haven't recieved their login details, have been told one will recieve hers by the end of the week and the other will have hers within the next 10 days!!
