Well I was loving London, esp my bit (East London - use Docklands Light Railway as transport) as I've not been affected by the snow. BUT starting to get a bit jealous of everyones snowdays!!

*Ducking snowed in peoples snow balls*!!!

My demented foster staffy rolling around in the snow!!

I walked 9 kilometers to get into work yesterday as damn buses werent moving...and only went over on my ankle once!

Sprained it quite bad though, so all strapped up and walking like an idiot. Pretty sure i provided much entertainment on my way home to for other commuters on the ice :(

Hopefully it'll clear up over the weekend...I am genuinely getting bored with it all now... most of my friends are loving it (office workers!!) and can work from home.... not such luck working in this industry... though the idea of making displays for the waiting room sounds like a good plan...wonder if I can float that with my boss??!!

I got into work today, but went home at 11am as it was snowing so heavy that it was a white out! I'm about 8 miles from work in the High Peak.

Seemed to ease off a bit this afternoon, but when I let the dog out an hour ago, everything was freezing over..... and the roads were all wet from the melt

I just want it all to go away now please - I've used all my holidays, so I am not getting paid for snow days. Lil man's school has been shut all week too, which means that if I do get into work, then I also need to sort childcare.... and my family are being v uncooperative on that front lately!

We currently have 2 1/2 feet of snow in the garden and up the front door in not so sunny Sheffield, my poor dog is struggling to even go for a wee and hes a lanky lurcher x! not been to work all week, and my little boy's nursery has been closed all week aswell, I think we are all going out of our minds!!! I am 6 months pregnant and just attempting to encourage the dog to go out for a wee yesterday ended up with me on my bum with snow up to my neck! I'm so fed up of it now, just want it to go away and all i keep thinking about is its supposed to be my weekend to work!

I got home from work ok this afternoon after my night shift...snow was quite thick! Myself, HN and vet were outside gritting the car park a bit this morning. Hoping the snow doesn't all freeze up too much overnight...think i'll go to work with extra food and clothes tomorrow just in case i get stuck there tomorrow night. Took Jack for a walk when i got home, he LOVED it! I'll put pics on in a mo!

well, the snow is melting over this way and everything is turning into ice =( its not good everywhere is like a skating rink especially works carpark!! yesterday I abandoned my car at the car park entrance as there were too many expensive vet cars for me to play bumper cars with =) xx

I have only a light dusting of snow, have my wellies with me! Would really like to get pics of my boycat out in the snow (the confusion on his wee face about where the grass has gone would be funny!) but I get back too late and it'll be dark. He only goes out on a harness anyway, and has a heatpad for at night when we turn the radiator off, so would be able to warm up quick. Just might not have him with me for much longer, and although pictures in the house is nice, they don't come out as well as when he's outside in natural light.

it getting worse here. my cats can not get out the cat flap now!!

i cant get car off drive and even if i could i have been told not to go in as not got 4x4. i hate this. time off but cant go any were or do anything.

am thinking might do a wall display on worms/fleas. any ideas what to do send them to me. i need to do somthing to keep my brain ticking over! x

We've had our first proper covering of snow in Berkshire overnight. The main roads are ok, but getting around on minor roads is a nightmare. I hate it already, so all of you 'up north' (past watford!!) have my complete sympathies. I don't know that i could cope with the snow that your having!!

The snow has hit us in Southampton AT LAST!!!! Am at work tonight so hoping i can get home tomorrow night! Just spoke to the vet and she's on her way in to stay for the night, in case it gets worse overnight.

wish somebody could just make it stop or take it away its not funny anymore! and now its windy as well and the bloody stuff is drifting.

did a quick stocktake of my supplies this afternoon as I was imprisoned in house and had to find something to do (both front and back door jammed solid with 4 ft of snow drifted at the back and approx 3 at the front - eventually got out through garage when I had managed to defrost lock)

we have approx 3 -4 weeks of cat food(but this could be supplemented with other stuff if things get that desperate and a couple of months of cat litter. I prob have 5-6 weeks of food if I go steady, so guess we could be ok? Coal and logs will last a couple of weeks and should have enough oil. good supply of candles 1 wind up radio and 2 wind up torches - just making sure I am prepared for the worst

the last time we had snow like this in the village that I remember was 1986 and I got snowed in for 3 weeks (but it isnt quite that bad yet!)

Its been an absolute nightmare up here in scotland.We'v had snow every day/nite since last friday!Its not even melting so the snow keeps falling on top of the old stuff.Been really bad since monday with last night today being the worst!I havent been able to get into work - got sent home early on monday - took 2 hours to get in and 2 hours to get home-couldnt go above 30mph on motorway!Today edinburgh airport is shut and the forth bridge was shut for most of the day - its a huge bridge and i cant ever remember it ever being closed due to snow!

As im typing its still snowing yet!Most of the nurses at our place havent been able to get in apart from the nurse who stay in flat above practice and the head nurse who is local-we all feel really bad but we just cant do anything!

One vet and two nurses couldn't get in today. Just me and the boss then. Ho hum.

Even Gatwick Airport (ten minutes away) has been closed all day with no plans to open until tomorrow morning. Not holding out much hope for tomorrow.

A 15min journey took me hour an half last night, and late for work this morning. Cant get down my road just parking on a car park on the main road and walking rest of the way. Oh joy!

I put a torch in my car and my bf was asking why I needed it. Yesterday when I was on my way to work at 6am I saw a car in a ditch and it had it's lights on and engine was running. I stopped and checked there was no one in it with my torch! Luckily the guy had already got out and was ok!

Exactly the same here I take an hour to get to work cross country. I've a bag in my car with brush, wash kit, toothbrush and toothpaste, sleeping bag!! Got a spade as well

I'm dreading proper bad weather because my journey to work takes me over an hour and is mostly cross country! I have a bag in my car in case I can't make it home!
