Tell me about it! Couldnt get to work this morning after half a foot of snow in just a couple of hours. Waited for the bus to work but all services were terminated, lucky anyway cos then they closed my sons nursery. I'm 6 months pregnant and dread the thought of a 5 mile walk to work tomorrow as they have forecast another 6 inch this evening!

I am officially going nowhere. The snow has won. Waited almost 2 hours for bus most of that outside (is a dial a ride service for the villages). Bus arrived eventually, got on bus just a little way down the road it slid, bumped to a halt and got stuck! Not a gritter in sight and hasnt been since Sunday

Its still snowing and I am fed up

lincolnshire coast - there has been a bit of drifting in the garden but not that much is still over a foot deep outside the drive. I am hoping it clears so I can get to work tomorrow, loads of snow up the hills (I am at the foot of the wolds). is that really fine powdery snow. somebody came past on skis this morning!

was watching somebody take their GSD for a walk earlier and the dog wasnt at all happy he was sinking up to his belly in snow with every step forward

We have only had a light sprinkling but my god it's cold!!!

My g-pigs normally live outside all year round (they are fat and have lots of hay and snuggle warms) but are currently in the dining room in a box for the night! brrrr!

no more now! its bloody freezing and the snow is a couple of foot deep in the garden at least. I have ice on the inside of the workshop windows and i just know i will need to go out there again for more logs

Apparently...."The word "waning" means decreasing in size (referring to the illuminated portion), and "gibbous" means that more than half of the surface is illuminated.

how fascinating! is that why on my way home from work the other night I thought there was some sort of eclipse of the moon because a portion of it was covered and it wasnt covered by cloud?

Very jealous! Only had a sprinkling today-working in the shropshire hills and was promised they get more snow than we do in th town. Fed up I love snow!!

This is why I love London! The high pollution level, the amount of buildings, the overcrowding, the humongous carbon footprint, but always warmer here!! Snows for only a couple days a year!!!!

Oh yes I know London Transport falls apart, but lucky me(!) the docklands light railway is not affected by snow!

I hate the snow so much!! It causes so many problems for us as my hubby rides a motorbike and if he can't bike to work he has to get a train and it costs a fortune!! Oh to live somewhere that never gets snow!

I've just got home from work and it's bloody freezing outside!

Possibly going to snow at the end of the week! I've been told to take an overnight bag to work with me because I live over an hour away and they don't want me driving home if it is really bad.

My laptop weather thing says it's 2 degrees here at the mo. I'm cat sitting for the week and the heating has been left on by the owner, she told me she leaves it on when it's cold. So it's nice and cosy Which our house isn't at the moment, as downstairs is lacking radiators due to decorating!

I have just ordered some 'snow' boots in the anticipation for another white winter. It snowed here in the Yorkshire Dales for 3-4 weeks last year and im not getting caught out again!!
