However, i used the 'how to get through nvq2' book last year and i think that really helped me pass! i'm going to use the nvq3 one this year too... good luck x

Re: good all round book recommendation pls
The Lane and Cooper book is based on the VN syllabus. I actually preferred it to the Victoria Aspinall text book. I think these are the 2 main textbooks though so I suppose it is personal preference.
I have both, and I also prefer the BSAVA Lane & Cooper book. However I would guess that they will release a new edition in the near future to coincide with the new VN syllabus, so I would hold fire on buying one for a few months just in case....

Re: good all round book recommendation pls

The Lane and Cooper book is based on the VN syllabus. I actually preferred it to the Victoria Aspinall text book. I think these are the 2 main textbooks though so I suppose it is personal preference.

Re: good all round book recommendation pls

I personally prefer this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Textbook-Veterinary-Nursing/dp/0750688475/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_c to the Lane and Cooper most people are told to buy. It has a much better layout and I found easier to use. If it is just anatomy and physiology you want the author does a book just on those subjects which is also excellent
