I should approach them for the money and if they try to brush it under the carpet get some advice from an employment solicitor - it's not as scary as it sounds.

I would recommend either contacting the citizens advice bureau or BVNA legal advice (if you are a member) They will be able to give you a definate answer. Some solicitors give free telephone advice aswell.

Hi thanks for replying, but nope.

I work 8.30-5pm, with 1hr unpaid lunch, Mon-Fri = 37.5hrs p/week!

I am on exactly the same rota as my colleagues, who all get paid for 37.5hrs a week!

I just wanted to add that this most certainly wasn't an intentional oversight by my employers, and I am 100% sure they will play ball by the employment law.... but I don't know what the law is in this situation!? Are they obligated to pay me? Can they force me to take it as time off? Because to be frank, I have been living hand to mouth for the last however many years I have been nursing for, and I want the money!

I've been trying to get hold of a partner all day to discuss it, but its been a busy day, and unlike many other employers, vet partners are always in the thick of it, and up to their eyeballs in ops or consults etc lol!
