Just a little update for anyone interested - Emma's jewellery is gorgeous and went down a treat. Turnout was a bit disappointing as a few were unable to come at the last minute for genuine reasons but those who came were very genuine with money for raffle tickets and buying Emma's goodies. We have made about £75 for PARC and Emma's done well with sales too so hopefully she may get some more business/orders longer term as a result. I can thoroughly recommend these parties either as a fundraiser or just as an excuse for a fun get together with pals.

Thank you so much Emma for coming and for donating a prize for the raffle. It was great to meet you and look forward to maybe doing another one in the new year. Henri sends his love!

I realised today I didn't have a cloth so I really hope this black cloth will cover whatever table we are planning to use!! Then I had a 4.45pm cash panic, no change!!! Hopefully getting there now though

Henri has been to the hairdresser's today and looks like a big girl's blouse. He smells beautiful though and is getting sick of me sniffing his head.

Hey you - it's gonna be fine. Really informal the way we've done it as an open house and everyone who's coming is looking forward to it, although most of them seem to be coming to see Henri first and everyone else/jewellery second!

I'll be driving from around 8.30 or 9am (depending how well I manage to do at getting up early) for about 2hrs so if you need to phone my mobile at all during that time, message me and I'll stop when I can and call you back. x

We are booked on a salmon watch with the Radnorshire Wildlife Trust.

Google Gilfach Farm and you'll find info. Gilfach is just wonderful. I love it there. I've never been to see the salmon before. In the afternoon we are going to Gigrin to see the red kites feeding.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but Salmon spawning?? Where?! That sounds amazing. I thought that sort of thing happened in Alaska or places like that! (my ignorance is embarrasssing, as I'm a big fish-lover!)

It is pretty easy to get from there into the centre of Birmingham and all manner of attractions, fancy a bit further afield then I am about 45 minutes away and there is the Severn Valley Railway and West Midlands Safari Park
