I love disneyland so should be right up my street! hehe

Yeah def going to see the Grand Canyon and do some other bits and bobs. There are at least 10 of us going so will be a good group of us. I've been put in charge of organising it. Oh the power!

I stayed 4 nights before moving on to Utah and to be honest I would have loved to stay longer, mainly because of the jet lag.......it's a long old way! so I really had to force myself to do stuff as soon as I arrived.

It will be nice to break it up with the grand canyon visit because 1 week may be a bit like 'whoooooooohhh' so you can have a bit of time out from all the glitz and noise and enjoy the piece and quiet of the grand canyon for a day.

its a phenomenal place, if your anything like me you will be walking around with your mouth wide open going wowww!!

Disneyland on drugs/Disneyland for adults really does sum it up!

Just had a quick look at your pics Donna and it looks amazing! Can't wait!

We are planning on staying for week. Is this too long or is there enough to do?

I LOVED Vegas!!! Ceasers palace shopping mall is amazing!!!!

you can even gamble on the slot machines when your waiting in baggage reclaim!

I didnt gamble very much, I was more than happy to people watch all the time while drinking cocktails!

make sure you venture down to the 'original' vegas. Freemont Street, they do a light show on an evening.

watch the dancing fountains at the Bellagio and have a look in the foyer of the hotel as they have amazing displays

I travelled round western America and stayed on a ranch in Arizona a couple of years back (feel free to browse my pics on facebook!)

The grand canyon is a must too, I went over in a helicopter and it was an amazing experience.

Told bf that I'll buy him a helicopter ride for his 30th present. Can't wait! Just trying to save my pennies!

i went to vegas for my honeymoon - stayed at the Tropicana (cheap and cheerful) we went through expedia not too badly priced just over £1000 for the both of us (just the flights- not direct - and hotel)

We then just paid for our extras once we got there - we went on a flight into the grand canyon to the Bar10 ranch, saw a cirque du soliel show at the bellagio, magic show at the monte carlo (got that for free) and my hubby dragged me to the medieval jousting show thingy at the Excaliber hotel, plus loads of other free things to do and see

We went in February 2007 for a week and didnt see a single Elvis almost all week then saw 10 standing together having a smoke outside the New York New York hotel on the Saturday night!!!

Well we had our meeting last night and I think people don't want to spend much more than a grand on accomodation and flights and would like somewhere in the middle of the strip so I am going to do some research and find out some prices.

Planet Hollywood is still looking like a top contender as we don't want anywhere too posh as don't plan to spend that much time in our rooms. There are at least 10 of us going so going to try and do some haggeling! hehe

Bellagio is beautiful, but way too posh for me...Planet Hollywood is great too...I dont really think it matters where you stay...you'll be in Vegas!!! Vegas in July is hot... 40 degrees etc, loads of sunscreen... and cocktails by the pool to cool you down obviously

Been looking at planet hollywood which looks quite nice. So many nice hotels! I can't wait to go though! Going to be so much fun!

Caesars palace...very nice, the Mirage is lovely too...I must recommend that you go to the Wynn buffet...oh my.....its the best one! Was there in July, it was my third trip, always have a ball...Oh I am soooo jealous of you, I love Vegas, counting the days until I can go again! You lucky thing
