It was a wealthy area though, which probably made a difference as they are expensive, plus we had a 'practice furminator' which we would demonstrate with. I have one for my Birnam cat and she LOVES it, she rolls on her back and sides so I can get her tummy!

Re: The furminator

We stock and sell Furminators and they sell really well. We use some unique selling points which are a) Most effective comb for stripping out dead undercoat but leaving smooth topcoat b) Repeated use means less grooming in the long run and c) The initial price is made back by not having to go to the groomer as often.

Re: The furminator

Hi, im not sure how much the pup light retails for as having trouble locating it, I think the client who was talking about it said it was in the range of 20-30 pounds, again very expensive, especially if the clients have just spent a load on vets bills anyway.

Thanks for the replies, the cost is what I thought would be an issue, we might try it on our online shop then we can just buy it in as people order them.

Re: The furminator

How much does the puplight retail for? It is amazing, but no way would I pay shop prices for one and I'd feel very hard done by if I had paid shop prices then saw how much they go for on ebay/amazon

Re: The furminator

We used to sell the furminator at my last practice. I think it depends on your client base as some will just take one look at the price and be like whoa, no way am i gonna spend that much on a comb! We found the best way was to give a demonstration first, explain the pros etc as it is probably the best piece of grooming equipment you could buy! It also helps if you have practice animals or staff pets that you can try it out on too as you need to be able to see the benefits.

Hope that helped! :-)
