There was a lot of basic things to sort out that you don't really think about such as protocols for everything. It was nice being in a new practice with new things but I did struggle with the work load. Was quite quiet and felt like a vaccination/neutering clinic. I only lasted there 4 months though because I was working with someone I just couldn't stand working with.

Re: spanking new practice

[quote user="NickyVN"]

Hi, yes I did 3 years ago. Have really enjoyed the experience being in from the start. Takes a while to build up clients, need loads of publicity as some people go around with their eyes shut. I have no regrets but main thing in a new start up that will probably be small to begin with make sure you get on with who you will be working with and nothing worse tan being on a 1 to 1 with someone you cant work with!!

I second everything Nicky has said.

Be prepared for lots of time where you won't have any clients or appointments. I tried to fill this time with marketing and publicity to draw in clients.
