I had a job in a new practice. There was a lot of basic things to sort out that you don't really think about such as protocols for everything. It was nice being in a new practice with new things but I did struggle with the work load. Was quite quiet and felt like a vaccination/neutering clinic. I only lasted there 4 months though because I was working with someone I just couldn't stand working with.

I second everything Nicky has said.

Be prepared for lots of time where you won't have any clients or appointments. I tried to fill this time with marketing and publicity to draw in clients.
